History shows that cooperative enterprise is a powerful means by which people--and particularly family farmers and other producers--can further their own well-being in our market economy. As member-owned enterprises, cooperatives are rooted in the communities they serve, creating economic infrastructure that reaches across generations.
The New England Farmers Union
promotes the cooperative model and is working to ascertain the level of interest and engagement in cooperatives among its members and supporters. Whether you are a farmer or consumer, or work in the food system as a service provider or policy maker, please take a few minutes to answer the questions in this survey
so NEFU can establish a baseline on cooperative activity and assess the need for technical assistance in this area.
